Become a Member Organisation

Te Ohu Whakawhanaunga Tāmaki Makaurau is comprised of community, union, faith and other relevant groupings from across civil society. We are a broad-based community organisation that fosters active citizenship and civil society leaders with the ability to negotiate with decision-makers toward systemic and structural change. Communities know what is wrong, they know what has to change but to fix the way things currently work in Aotearoa requires a breadth of leadership from many organisations that gives voice to these issues, and disciplined organisation that ensures these voices are heeded.

You get to be involved in the strategy groups working towards solving the housing crisis, period poverty, fair pay, migrants and former refugees issues, the health and care system and whatever other main issue that the alliance as a whole have voted to work on.

You get to be the first to receive our monthly newsletters, our forums and actions happening across Auckland. You also get opportunities to participate in our community organising training and how to build power within your community.
