Pacific Women's Watch (New Zealand) (PWW(NZ)) was established in 2000 and creates a space for non-governmental women's development works where diversity across all ages and ethnicities ensures engagement with many younger women and a membership to mirror the cultural profile of the population in Aotearoa New Zealand. PWW(NZ) has status as a national body by the United Nations Organisation with the Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) to support the women of the UN Pacific sub-region to ensure their voices are heard at the highest international level.
